Bullet-points for a Wednesday
- Real Sports on HBO did a great piece on Dick Ebersol, television-sports-producer extraordinaire, which went over not only his tenure at NBC and their recent aquisition of the NFL, but also on the tragic plane crash the claimed the life of his son. It’s a really well put together piece.
- The end of last night’s Rescue Me, the next-to-last episode of the season, should have been way more obvious to me than it was at the time. Basically, the episode was curiously hillarious. Lots of laughs. Lots of people not experiencing horrible tragic circumstances ALL THE TIME. And then it suckerpunches you right in the jaw– not unlike the same episode last season. That’s a valid comment, though I don’t think its an unrealistic thing for the characters to be saying. These aren’t exactly choir boys.

Maybe what happened to Jerry prepped me, but just seeing Johnnie in that car had me ready for what was to come. But I’m still not sure it’s as much a done deal as I’ve been seeing declared in other forums. Definitely Jerry’s storyline caught me off-guard.
Tommy Gavin is right up there with Andy Sipowicz as a couple of guys I’d rather not hang around with - that much suffering is probably contagious!
