When there’s nothing to say…
It’s safe to say that anyone compulsively updating their television blog in the middle of December clearly needs to reevaluate their life. Hopefully, that sentiment is all the explanation needed to describe the recent gaps in my usual posting habits. And until the winter season kicks off the second week in January, it’s about the level of updates you should expect. Of course, all of that could chance, given I see the right thing– which is really the problem. Now that The Wire and most of the network lineups have ended for the year, there really isn’t all that much to watch. Last night I got home from work, checked my DVR and realized that the only things being recorded were: PTI, The Colbert Report and The Daily Show. So I went out. Yes, out of the house. It was nice. Would you believe that there are places you can go in a major metropolitan area that are open as late as FOUR in the morning?! Crazy, I know.
I guess what I’m trying to say is we should be EMBRACING December. Sure, its cold. Sure, there’s nothing on television, but dammit, we should go out there and conquer something anyway. WHO’S WITH ME! What? What’s that? Must-See-TV is tonight? Oh, and all those Ugly Betty episodes from the past three weeks I haven’t gotten around to? Plus, this week’s Dexter, Saxondale, a handful of Metalocalypse, Class of 3000 and the fourth hour of the Spike Lee Katrina documentary that I never watched, not to mention the fact that the first season of Rome is on HBO On-Demand, as well as Six Feet Under, which I never really paid attention to when it originally aired… …who wants to play in the cold anyway?
Thanks for reading.

There are things to do at night? Please enlighten us, as I seem to be un-informed.
