“Survivor” - Ride the Workhorse ‘Til the Tail Falls Off

Champs.Ding Dong, The Dick is Dead!

Alright, so I’m writing this a little late, so I’m going to keep the recap part out (if you don’t know by now . . . you don’t really care).

After last week’s episode, I had a horrible vision. I could imagine very clearly, all done up in too much makeup, Dave sitting in the top 3 at the final tribal council. I don’t know what it was, but the image was all too easy to conjur up. Well, now I don’t have to worry about that any more! More after the jump…

Quick thoughts about the episode (in no particular order)-

  1. I hate Jean-Robert, but it was pretty awesome that he spoke Mandarin!
  2. Dave gave Todd the hidden immunity idol clue! I don’t see how Todd is not in the final 4. I’m going to guess that Todd finds the immunity idol next week. He’s pretty smart, and from what I can tell, the last clue really pointed him to it.
  3. Sherea has got to go, although she would be a great person to get into an alliance with (and to take to the final 3, she would have no chance). Im much happier with an alliance of 4 between Peih Gee, Frosti, Jaime and Erik. Although im wondering how Peih Gee is going to act now that leader Dave is G-O-N-E.
  4. The bird fishing was the most interesting cultural thing that I have seen on any season of Survivor. I think that they have been incorporating the cultural aspects this season alot more fluidly than they have in the past (i love the torch snuffer!). The challenges this episode also really incorporated Chinese culture (although the chopstick fireball challenge was really weird).

Alright, that’s it for this week. Although I am pretty excited about the budding romance between Jaime and Erik (he’s sweet). I know im supposed to be cynical about such things, but I guess I’m really a romantic at heart ;).
