“Dirty Sexy Money” — I’m out.

Oh Darlings.Last week I gave myself a 15-minute ultimatum, on Dirty Sexy Money. Either the show would prove to me that it was more like it’s pilot and not like the soapy mess that was the second episode or I was going to walk away and never look back (or at least in theory). Well, I watched the first fifteen minutes and while it wasn’t episode-two bad, it wasn’t nearly as sharp as I had hoped it would be. In short, this isn’t the series for me.

Wednesdays are kind of a packed night and there’s no real reason to continue watching something I don’t fully support when there’s so much else that’s worthy of being seen. Let me know if things get especially crazy, in the era of DVD, a show never really dies anymore.

One last thing, and another reason why DSM isn’t making the cut: as a faux New Yorker, nothing annoys me more than shooting LA for New York. If you’ve been here you know what I mean, and chances are even if you haven’t you still get the problem.

Woah, and you were so for it from the pilot…

Until something comes along on another channel that requires my attention, or at the very least I can “watch” from the other room, I’ll stick with ‘DSM’. Wednesdays are one of my nights off, so I’m home to watch it “live”. And I’ve found in the last two weeks (I saw the pilot at the MT&R), that I can easily listen to it from the bedroom while I work at my computer and still follow the story. It’s a visualized radio soap. (But I’m DVRing it just in case something eye-popping happens.)
